In this painting I continue to both play with size, and explore combining sensual with the non-sensual. The inspiration for this piece is a fictional character from "One Hundred Years of Solitude" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Mauricio was the ill fated lover always surrounded by yellow butterflies **the white background has lot of texture, showing brush strokes, which doesn't show in the photo**
