This is from my imagination. Bluebell woods are rather silent desolate (and beautiful) places (the apparent wide-spacing of the trees to allow the bluebells to grow up before the foliage appears etc - or something - I am no aborialist!) that reminds me of a battlefield/no man's land somehow. Delicate swathes of blue growing up after the winter etc.... SO hear I have made the trees look as if they have been pulverised by a bit of 'battle'. The original is ~120 x 70cm on chipboard painted in acrylics and gouache (and some PVA glue). It has a knobbly appearance (see supplementary photos). The original lies annoying between 1.25 and 1.33 ration so I have slight squished it to fit 1.33. The true image is in the supplementary photos

A chum 'borrowed me' to practice his photography - so here are some images. ........ A hobby became - rather surprisingly another occupation, after I went part-time from my consultant psychiatrist job and devoted more time to THIS . As I worked in a 'proper job' 2 days a week my ability to do exhibitions is limited, but have stuff up locally around Cheltenham in bars and offices. Mainly self-taught, but I go to classes at the excellent and very jolly Cheltenham Fine Art (CFA) School (recommended). No nonsense artist - paints etc because fun and people like my stuff. Hate 'esoteric/enigmatic' types. Anyone can shoot me if I ever say 'my art challenges perceptions' etc. Work from home studio 'Helios House' (silly but I like it name). Have painting on 4 continents, so feel slightly international. Sell via this website and word of mouth, but like many have to eat baked beans and do odd jobs to supplement income. Just thought I'd put stuff on this sight to see if I can eat less of the beans! Comments and requests always welcome (as long as constructive criticism!). Toodle Pip!
