Morning Lights Print

Since my first lessons in the art school I started to feel I was waking up, seeing the world differently. Bright and vivid colours brought sense to my life. As an art-therapist I used paints and clay when working with kids. It was amazing to notice the change of behaviour and magical sparkles in the eyes appearing every time children touched the mediums to start expressing their true selves. Suddenly the wounds got healed, horizons opened and the conflicts disappeared. The brush created a new world. Now I explore the world through the prism of art and my interpretation gives plenty of material for my works. The nature and the people look for me a lot different than before. I now see much more though I am yet trying to see the whole picture. It becomes possible when I drop labeling and avoid judging, just see the things they are in their purity and beauty. Rays of sunshine bursting through the cloud, a hazy shadow on the wall, shades of blue and green in the waves, now adding sounds and smells so that the picture becomes rich and lively. I want to capture the moment, to declare the variety, to embed the delight I feel in my heart, to let my senses guide the strokes of my brush. Story of painting. The place I’ve never been before. The town that does not know I exist. And yet there’s that connection between us, that feeling. I’ve always loved early mornings – those cold empty streets, the first light of the lone star which is meant for you and you only, since there’re no more witnesses. There is always something to it. The sense of clarity, freshness, newness, simplicity that can only arise from the minimalism of the morning for there’s that complete lack of people. Such rarity. Shortly, the sense of freedom. Just sheer freedom. Have you ever even felt it? Set your alarm to 6am. Gat up and go to the city centre, the keys, the… anywhere, really. No matter if you’re working tomorrow, you’d wake up an hour later anyway. If it’s coming to the weekend, tant mieux – even the dogwalkers sleep longer after Friday nights. [ Don’t be quick to renounce this idea, you may have the bed all to yourself any other day. Just for once, break free. ] Set your alarm to 6am. I promise you will never regret it.
