About The Artwork

I was inspired by the elan and courage of a coach at the sailing club where my children practice occasionally. These paintings can be viewed equally from a short and long distance. The sailing theme has been treated in a novel and humorous way, while maintaining the classic characteristics of a painting. Humor is in connection between Uummannaq mountain in Greenland and sailing bout from much South regions as Mediteeran sea. The yacht motif became a reason to start thinking of how small and at the same time great each of us can be. What tiny creatures we are, dependent on all sorts of global phenomena (climate, virtual or social) and how we have to deal with them and keep a healthy and good distance from them by e.g. appreciating our family, friends and all kinds of get-togethers, such as exhibition openings!
