About The Artwork

I paint the inhabitants of the Ocean, because of there beauty and there significance to our world's survival. As our populations explode world wide, the demand on food sources start to diminish. We all need to invest and control the way we harvest this resource. This is a Blue Economy. It is Sustainable, and some country's are attempting to do just so. This should be a world wide process. Fish farms etc... Take only what you need, leave the rest. Nassau Grouper, Bahamas. Acrylic on canvas.

Professional art since 1965, NYC. I was a surrealist artist at this time. I would also draw portraits of people in chalk, on the sidewalks of Manhattan. I was approached by a Rock and Roll magazine publisher who commissioned me to paint portraits of the Stars of that era. A few years later, I was given a Nikon F camera and was asked to interview and photograph at Rock stars at show venues. I transplanted my self to Southern California where I continued to do photography and multi media arts. Painting, Sculpture, Jewelry, Glass, Tattoo's etc... I today find my self in full circle of my artistic roots. Painting again for me. I have assigned my self to expressionistic styled art. Primarily the images of figures and sea life, as seen through my eyes. I feel that our Ocean's are abused. If not managed properly, all our futures will be at stake. I live on a beach in Central America part time, where most of my "topic and inspiration" comes from. I have devoted some time to Ocean life management programs. Looking for sustainable solutions to rehabilitate our world Oceans.
