Ocean Deep Print

This Painting is composed of Acrylic Paint and an effect pigment exclusive only to my palette is is not commercially available it s imported from Germany and used after combining other binders. The Canvas is stretched and sized by me also. I am inspired to paint the Sea as I am addicted to Whale watching and boating, as I live on Phillip Island Australia, and I have a passion for this environment, I am compelled to paint the Ocean. I hope to give the the feel of this wild Antarctic Ocean as it is alive, with such huge creatures as Southern White Whales. I don't want this painting to be pretty, I want the viewer to feel the cold of the vast depth of this Ocean, to love the watery wilderness and imagine what lies beneath. This painting changes as the lighting changes, the depth and colour changes unfortunately I cannot capture this on camera, but I am happy this painting imitates the Ocean as the sun hits the waves.
