About The Artwork

Original abstract mixed media artwork inspired by the aerial view of land and ocean joining! Living in a small peninsular country has blessed me with beautiful beaches in all 3 sides of the land. The aerial view of the meeting points of land and ocean are always a visual treat and incredibly inspiring. This artwork captures the beauty and textures of both the terrains using self manipulating paints and solvents. This mixed media artwork is done on perspex , and will add a coastal and modern vibe to any wall space. Dimensions- Unframed- 30X40 cm NB: The artwork will not be framed and the reference photo in situ might not be in exact scale. It is just for a visual reference. The artwork will be signed in the front. It will be accompanied by certificate of authenticity.

Swapna Namboodiri create assemblages, installations and sculptural artworks using mixed mediums including found objects and repurposed plastics. Her art practice is inextricably intertwined with sustainability. Nature being her favorite subject, she try to embrace the beauty of textures and patterns around her and create a visual treat in her works using reclaimed plastics. Her works often reflects the Japanese philosophy ‘Wabi-Sabi’- to embrace the beauty of imperfections. She embraces the imperfect organic shapes created by the hand-cut single-use plastics and highlights the textures in her artworks, making it a unique collectible piece of art!
