About The Artwork
The history of this painting is particular. Some time ago, walking through the streets of my city, I found a garden that cultivated roses, one of them caught my attention because of its size and beauty: it had a very intense red / pink color, its large petals were arranged almost perfectly and had a delicious aroma , but when I look carefully at the same branch that came out of this portent of rose, another one appeared which was the opposite of the first, withered and discolored, held just behind the other. It was a revelation to find such an opulent display of life right next to each other in frank decadence. Youth and old age pending of the same branch. So I decided to dedicate a painting as a reminder of such a valuable lesson.

I started my career 7 years ago drawing humorous cartoons, I was attracted by the satire and the critical load of the medium, although over time I realized that the main subject of criticism was me, that is why my painting represents a journey of introspection where I constantly question myself who I am, why and how the medium determines me. When you grow up in a city as big as Mexico, you can see many things but the ones that strike me most are the splashes of color that sporadically sprout from the flowers that stand firm against the common gray of the buildings, so in my work You also find flowers and birds to which my grandmother inherited a great love.
