Penguin Book Cover - Love Yourself Print

Penguin Books are iconic and I have wanted to paint them for years. I am obsessed with painting these Penguin Book Covers atm. They have come about by accident as I don't plan any of my works I've ever painted. I went to a second hand book sale a few weeks back and brought all the Penguin Books that were left. I got some of the green classic ones so was inspired to paint them. I had a canvas that I wanted to reuse but couldn't do the typography neat on it so left it blank. That's Number 1 blue in my series but the next one I wanted words on it. But not the usual titles of the books that other artists have created. I started with LOVE of course. Now it's already moved onto random quotes. I'm obsessed and in love with these. Not sure about you but just letting things happen is how I now live so love the evolution of how my art comes about. This piece is painted on very textured canvas. I never plan my works. I just feel like creating so I do and usually at some point I think....yep that's done. Photos are taken before it is varnished.
