About The Artwork
I made 4 landscape paintings for Portland. They are all done without preparatory drawings or anything. Just painted directed onto the canvas. This is the last edition. It was in a gallery show in Portland in September-October 2023, "Views from the Other Side" at Alberta Street Gallery. The other painting in that show, Portland Landscape #2, was sold, same size dimensions. I primarily do figurative, surrealist, modern style painting. The landscape series was homage to early paintings by Kandinsky of Bavaria and Grant Wood's landscapes. This one was primarily focused on the crazy car culture out here in Portland.
