About The Artwork

A bit of irony - an island of safety in the raging ocean of life. The composition and colors express the joy, irony and energy of the crunchy radish... If you like it, then this is for you! Made in my author's style of symbolic realism.

"Creation of art is the love of my life and I dedicate almost every day to that (not forgetting my five children and my husband, of course). I constantly enjoy the beauty of our world and want to share this pleasure with others." Shlomit was born in 1968 in Kharkov, Ukraine. She began drawing since she was a young child. Her father, an amateur artist, taught her the basics of painting. At the age of six she started attending a children's art studio and continued learning to draw, sculpt and paint until she graduated from high school. In 1991, Shlomit earned her Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture and Design of the Architectural Environment from the prestigious Moscow State Academy of Architecture (MARKHI) after six years of dedicated study. Later that year, she moved to the beautiful city of Jerusalem, Israel. After getting married in Israel, Shlomit focused on her family and dedicated herself to raising her five children. Now that her children have grown up, Shlomit has happily returned to painting. Her work is inspired by the beautiful landscapes of Israel and her travel experiences. Shlomit works in oil, watercolor, and acrylic and her paintings are characterized by a free manner.
