Rendezvous Print

Everyday one is bombarded by thousands of images on blue screens. I am addicted to movies. Give me a good murder mystery or psychological thriller any time of the day! Because of my work and art, I unfortunately do not get enough time for this, but I always appreciate a good frame when I see one. (maybe I was a cinematographer in my previous life!) My phone is always ready at hand to capture it – although the stop/rewind options help to get the perfect one. In this series I am creating a new narrative – images stitched together from many unrelated television series and movies. In doing so the viewer becomes a voyeur in a private story of which he/she must make up their own mind as to what exactly is taking place in each scene and connecting the dots in different ways. Paintings will often be blurry and might/might not have a blueish tinge because of a cell phone capturing moving images on a screen. It will also be a figurative painting done in oil on canvas. The setting might be urban or rural. Not my story, but I am creating a new one anyway: frame by frame.
