About The Artwork
Living in Oregon I am often blessed with flower fields during the spring. One of the most inspiring parts of the season is when the sweet peas and wild roses bloom brilliant shades of pink. The wide expanse of the foothills and the hazy blue sky that envelope you. This is a 2"inch round paint peel on a 5"inch round canvas. Paintpeels are painted side down for a truly abstract and serendipitous touch. After multiple layers are painted and dry, the paint is then peeled from its painted surface to expose the paintpeel. The canvas is painted a base color and the paintpeel is applied to the canvas.

Tatiana Hantig (b.1983) is a first generation American-Czech painter and photographer. Raised abroad with her parents show production, The Fercos Untamed Illusions, she toured throughout Asia, Europe, North and South Americas. Her experiences growing up was a combination of raising exotic felines, constant travel living in hotels, motels and trailer tours as well as being surrounded by performers of all types. Throughout their travels, Las Vegas was home base and where she attended the University of Las Vegas, Nevada where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fine Art Photography. Her paintings and photography have taken her to ArtPrize in Michigan multiple times, numerous galleries in Las Vegas, and over a dozen public murals for Clark County, Nevada for the ZAP! Project and the El Cortez Hotel. She currently resides in Oregon continuing her R&D in the arts.
