In order to make this painting, I took photographs of some parts of my body: face, arms and torso, which was take from bottom to the top in order to made myself bigger. Afterwards, I painted them on the canvas, closing each part inside a space delimited by colours and lines and I made a kind of “Frankenstein”, built with different parts of my body that I joined together, and trying to stay away from of realistic representation of myself. The idea of this painting was born after the study of the concept of the “body without organs” developed by Antonin Artaud, who claimed that the body has to be destroyed and then reconstructed, it has to be deprived of its organs, and rebuilt.
