Sometimes I hesitate wheres I should be giving away all the stories behind the scenes and the background of certain concepts but then I more often feel like leaning towards telling it more than not to. Because how I look at it all also is like a cinematography almost - there is a plot, smth to tell, and a visual, and so you get to live through a little story if you will. My art is not just art alone often, there is a background and a story to it, how it came about and came through and as an artist who not just stamping hundreds of similar pieces and call it his own style but rather keep staying fresh and creating new episodes and works season after season, collection to collection, I feel like I see value and an exciting element in it. This piece was the very first piece kicked off me picking up my brush again after a longest hiatus I ever had and started being stoked and going with my art action. It was very random - some brand new canvases were leaned against the wall right near my drum set and in such a way, in such a time o' a day and with such angle and lighting that it created this multi layered silhouettes, just exactly how it is on this painting, only not in colour, I immediately picked a pencil and traced it and then started painting. Interesting that at the time I was really at my drums, learning more, practising, playing a lot after taking a hiatus from that as well. So that passion might had bled through the art as well. It was almost the fist time when I did something like this, so clean, so random yet precise, so minimalistic and clear, 3 colours only, when the outlining is natural so must be very clean. To make it thick enough and dense layer wise I had to paint over this silhouettes three times each, so it was actually the same work made three times, quite substantial amount of focused work. Beautiful prints will be also available at a decent price and easy to get. For a work like this I feel a print could be perfect.
