About The Artwork
This is an acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas painting. It is also a painting that tooks its time, so to speak, in developing. Where I live it is currently summer and I have slowed down in my painting. However, this one took a long time to paint, and as usual I wasn't sure what I was going to paint until the brush first hit canvas. There is loads of symbolism in this picture, and quite frankly I don't want to know exactly what I was aiming for with the "farmhouse" juxtaposed with "disembodied heads." My daughter, Noel, saw Nature in this piece and the heads as people on the farm. I like her simplified interpretation and I'm sticking with that. Other than all this, it's another "Carl" painting and I hope you like it. Thank you.
