About The Artwork
Watercolour and paint pens on 200gsm acid free mixed media paper. Another piece added to my circular-inspired art works. This time, I decided to go for simplicity! I do tend to love lots of detail and colours, but some retro inspiration lead me to these tall blooms. I draw and paint everything by hand, because I love the way hand-drawn/painted art reflects our human nature. It shows small imperfections and/or small deviations with the paint and/or pen, which reflects perfectly our wonderfully imperfect selves which makes this beautiful planet so much more interesting and worth investigating. 'Stand Tall' comes from recognising the need to access one's inner strength and tenacity, to be able to move forward, even when it seems like such small steps are being taken. As long as we keep trying, keep fighting, keep motivating, we can stand proud and tall and watch the sun coming up with new hope and warmth each and every day. I hope you feel it too xxx
