About The Artwork
The yearly Round the Island race, takes an entry of over 1000 yachts on a race of 50miles around the Isle of Wight on the south coast of the UK. The race is said to be the World's largest yachting event with the most people competing. This pictures shows the most modern fleet of Fast40 yachts starting the race in June 2017 close the Squadron Castle which is just out of the picture in the left. It is 0600am and with a NNW wind the yachts are able to start on starboard tack and cross the start line.
