The color blue was the hardest to master for past civilizations. This explains why it was considered a secondary color in the West for a long time. It didn’t play a social role at all because the color blue lacked a symbolic meaning to them. It’s a color that was misunderstood in the past and rejected for quite a long time. However, the color blue finally blossomed, showing all its splendor and power that was suppressed along the centuries past. It carved itself a trail to the top above all other. I’m more than a blue color fan. Blue became part of my emotions.I associate it with sorrow, pain and I think it is one of the most beautiful emotional states from the whole spectrum. Many desperately try to avoid pain, run away from it, or even worse, fight it.I try to consider my “blue days” as a restart to my soul. This is the message: pain and sorrow are not destructive emotions, but creative forces. The key is not to “die” when you meet the “blue days.” Live through those moments and find joy.

A Chisinau, Moldova based artist by the name of Gabriela Fussa has been honing her skills in painting for the past several years. Originally an interior designer, Gabriela has blended her passion for art with her four years of experience in studying design and thus bringing about a perfect marriage of these two passions. Gabriela’s venture into mixed media painting allowed her to include yet another element of this union and this extended the range of her skills even further. Her use of colors and mediums in paintings have allowed her to challenge the boundaries of people’s perception of art. In her opinion the best starting point when it comes to the appreciation of modern art is that it is not to decide whether it is good or not, but to understand how it evolved from the classical style of Da Vinci to the pickled sharks and unmade beds of today.
