Lynn Miller is a prize winning artist whose main works are painting, photographs and drawing inspired by a perceptual point of view. She incorporates various media such as oil, acrylic, watercolour, egg tempera and graphite in her work. Her subjects cover a wide range of imagery inclusive of landscape, water reflection and mis en scene. Her work is expressive with an experiential point of reference and her main focus is depicting an observation of natural phenomena through the process of painting. Lynn’s study began at the age of 10 at the Memorial Art Gallery, Rochester New York. It was here that her phenomenal passion and energy for life found its ground and path by focusing on the life of being an artist. At the age of 21 after completing a B of Sc. in Art Ed. Lynn was accepted into the BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) and MFA (Master of Fine Arts) at the Yale School of Art and Architecture. She studied with prominent of American painters such as Philip Guston, Robert Rauschenberg, Alex Katz, Frank Stella, William Bailey and Jack Tworkov. Lynn also studied the complete Josef Albers program on color, drawing and design. Lynn is immersed in her studio process and is energised by her passion for her subject and her love of painting. Through the intense relationship of colour and light the work is an invitation to experience the intense relationships between form, colour, and light.
