About The Artwork
I often walk my dog alongside a meadow where Jersey heifers peacefully graze. One of them in particular is very curious and if we stop to watch them, she will often walk across to investigate us. This particular young cow is the subject of my painting. Jersey cows are known for their generally placid temperament and of course their rich and creamy milk. I used professional artist quality acrylic paints for this project on a fine grain linen canvas board. Once completed I then gave it a coat of isolation and two coats of satin varnish which gives the painting a soft sheen and protects it from dust. The painting is set in a frame which is made of wood and painted white. The area of the canvas is 16 inches by 12 inches. It is now ready to hang. The painting is signed and includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
