On a base of acrylic paint, the painter worked characters, furniture and colored masses with oil paint. The work was painted on a cotton canvas mounted on a wooden chassis measuring 100x100x4 cm and is ready to be attached to the wall. Figuration, three-dimensionality and perspective technically characterize the work, which deals with the political, existential and medical dimensions of Brazil, the artist's country of origin, in these times of pandemic and of rulers who practice a Tupiniquim variant of necropolitics. Under a harsh, chromatic and intense light, the pictorial drama unfolds. An ambiguous being, at the same time angel and devil, bearer of life, herald of death, towers over a geometric floor, in front of a smaller, almost defenseless being who is kneeling at his feet. The drama of existence extends from birth to finitude over this age of pestilence and insanity.
