About The Artwork
Original oil painting on wooden panel by Sami Rinne. I have lived in SE Asia almost two decades sharing my life in my Home country Finland and my adopted home in NE Thailand. This painting was executed in my Asian residence when I was contemplating whether or not I should try a new take on such iconic image of Buddha. This was my version. If Buddha would be among us he would cry. I'm pretty sure about it. The painting is quite heavy due to its material which should be taken into consideration when hanging or framing it.
