About The Artwork
I have travelled to the Arctic and Antarctic regions absorbing elements from icy landscapes. Then I have used a cold wax medium with the oil paint which allows me to build up textures and scratch into it to reveal the layers beneath. The additional photographs show close ups of the intricate details. It has been painted on a cradled wood panel which gives the painting surface stability and has been framed in a white wood tray frame complete with D-rings and cord.
