About The Artwork

#3 in series of Queens and women's impact and positive influence on our society. Women is able to juggle life and expectations in ways men aren't. They’re mothers, wives, friends, colleagues, mentors and sex symbols. They aren't driven by greed and power the same way men often are, but balance life with love and compassion, patience and tolerance. Image what our world would look like if it had been led by women…

Søren Thielemann (Sorenski) is a Danish-born artist living in California. With a background in advertising and graphic design, Søren's art is created around conceptual ideas with layers of messages and symbolism, and is frequently influenced by current social and political affairs. His art is often referred to as “doodles” because of its fun whimsical styles and shapes, inspired by his childhood passion for cartoons. It’s also a rebellious contrast to the linear and mathematical shapes you find in typography and graphic design, yet there’s a desire to balance the subject on the canvas and achieve some symmetry. Typical themes in his art are social injustice, corporate greed, and church (the cross), due to his distrust of organized religion. Soren works in ink, oil, acrylic, and gouache on a variety of surfaces, including murals.
