ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is the final piece in a series based upon drawings made from primitive sculptures held in collections in the British and Horniman Museums. Here two animated figures appear to spring from the same source but struggle to assert their independence. They are constrained in a shallow confined space and their vigorous efforts cause them to merge, one becomes the other before struggling free only to become absorbed again.
