ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The River And The Mountain is one of a series of paintings of gum trees in landscape. The eucalyptus leaves and other landscape details are represented by impasto lines of "drips" of paint. This causes the painting to appear dynamic, as light reflects off a multitude of different surfaces. Painting is on a ply board panel which is backed with a timber support frame. Only professional artist quality paints are used. The board is first sealed front and back and the sides are painted black. The painting is finished with layers of protective varnish. Heavy duty "D" rings and cord are attached so that the painting is ready to hang.
