Dragons once majestically roamed the world, leaving us in both wonder and awe as they ruled the skies, protecting us from above with wings and fire. That is, until they didn’t… Have you ever wondered where the term “firepower” came from? Well, dragons are known as fire breathers, and the fire that sits deep in their bellies nourishes them and gives them the power to use their wings to fly. In simple terms, dragons need fire to fly. But where does the fire come from? Legend has it, dragons are celestial beings, born from shooting stars. Infused with star fire inside them at birth, sadly this magic does not last forever. In order for dragons to keep their firepower, every full moon, they fly high into the heavens and feast on the very stars they were created from. This keeps the fire scorching in their bellies, thus fueling their ability to fly. Long after dragons were birthed, yet still centuries ago, a mass of thick clouds and fog rolled in as temperatures dropped well below freezing. This frozen fog, or “Frog” (lol) covered all the lands and oceans as far as the eyes could see, causing a seal over the sky, keeping the dragons from their precious stars. As the years rolled by and the Frog remained, the dragons became weaker and weaker, until the fire in their bellies completely burned out, keeping them earthbound. When the temperatures finally warmed and the Frog cleared, the dragons were left flightless, without fire, and with no way to reach the stars. Things remained this way for generations until the legend of the dragons was passed down to one special, brave little boy. Hearing of the once flying, fire breathing dragons, it became the boy’s mission to bring glory back to this once proud species. This boy would become legend himself, for he would go down in history as the one that saved the dragons. He would become known as the first… Star Collector.
