About The Artwork

Tamara Hergert, a trending Seattle artist who has been creating amazing artworks commissioned by private collectors, has started a breathtakingly beautiful series of paintings inspired by legends and poems. "The Tale of Two wolves" oil painting by Tamara Hergert has been displayed at the June 2017 Art Show at the A/NT Gallery located in the heart of downtown Seattle. To watch a video (that went viral with 3K views on Youtube and 70K views on Magisto) of how the "The Tale of Two wolves" painting was created, please click on the link below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5uKFGOSYapY This painting is inspirational and a great conversation piece, as it illustrates a Native American legend: "One evening, an elderly Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, “My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all. One is Evil - It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other is Good – It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith. The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf wins?” The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.” The painting is ready for hanging: - it does not require a frame, as it's painted on two deep edge canvases. - it has gallery quality wire in the back of each of the two canvases, plus two removable screws that hold the two canvases together.
