Oil painting in the style of Picasso who is one of my heroes and I love to paint in his style, I called it the thinker after Rodin’s sculpture as it reminded me of the statue, not the pose, but that he looks in deep thought. He is with his girlfriend who has brought him some news which has set him thinking, he has his hand on his head but his feet firmly on the ground but not enjoying that cigar. I’m a representational painter from the beautiful island of Koh Samui. I work out of my studio in Samui my paintings have featured in art journals and other publications. My work is displayed in over 33 countries, including some iconic places like Berkeley Square in London’s Mayfair, 5th Ave New York, Malibu beach and Hollywood in California. I want my paintings to have character to tell a story but without words as if using mime, to be dramatic, emotional, sometimes theatrical but always with feelings and always special. COMMISSIONS: I would be delighted to create you a unique work, whatever size you need or colour palette. Thailand
Ta Byrne is a Thai artist who lives and works on the beautiful island of Koh Samui, just off the south coast of Thailand. Her Oil Paintings . are vibrant, eye-catching and packed with a sense of fun and humour. Ta takes humans as her focal point in her Figurative Painting but abstracts these figures by distorting them and using a cartoonish style to create a more humorous feel. While her work is mostly representational, she incorporates Surrealist elements in many of her paintings, making her one of the most exciting artists working in Thailand today. Ta comes from humble beginnings, living out her childhood on the rural outskirts of Bangkok as a farmer's daughter. During her teen years, she worked sewing shirts in a Bangkok sweatshop, and it was during this time that she met an old street artist who invited her to his studio. This sparked her desire to become an artist, and since then, she has gone on to produce Abstract and Cubist paintings that have received international acclaim from art connoisseurs.
