They Invited Themselves Print

Statement from artist: I realize people like when I explain my art and tie everything together. I sometimes feel depressed and lifeless, which is shown by my gray figure. The dripping design shows the layers of melting away from these feelings in the past now. You can also see colorful and simple people who don’t have this design. These people are others who don’t have my problem and can be themselves and show their colors and live the simple and happy life in a hot tub which is my heart and blood. They are all sipping on the blood and enjoying their time as I assist in the distribution. The bottom of the hot tub/heart are the leftover life/love/uniqueness I can hold onto in pink, but it’s only at the bottom due to it running out as you can see the same pink steaming up from the party peoples’ cups because they are consuming them. I shield them from the dark and they party on as I stay depressed to nobody’s concern and feel like a victim to peoples’ indifference.
