ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I live in the most wonderful rural place in Tuscany. It is a tiny hamlet with just 20 or so permanent people here. The bells and bell tower in our village dominate life here. Bells ring on the hour and on the half-hour. You don't hear them but they are there. I love the Tuscan summer sky and trees. This painting was on a bright sunny day. The typically Tuscan tree cast a great shadow and for me it was a painting just asking to be made.
