Underwater Confession Print

If there ever was a metaphor visible to the naked eye, this would be it. Quite plainly so it describes the dilemma of life itself. At the base of the pyramid as well at the top, everyone is in a circle of struggle. So a purpose came along with this artwork, and that was to change Perspective. When I started this artwork, I had a different image in mind, and as my grasp of imagination took me deeper, this is what becomes. I'm sure phrases pop in your mind like "not everything is as it appears" as a sort of short description to it. "I had been venturing into the unknown for quite long and felt like I was lost. Many days I went on without thinking or making efforts to undo what was done. As I struggled in the dark I found my path illuminated from above. And I reached a place of serenity and found my soul rest in the warmth underneath the cold of icebergs." So I confessed on my canvas, the midafternoon of a Thursday, in blue and black, realizing that confessions are easier only on paper. You will find acrylics here but also oils in the waves, as the faint light makes way into the water. The icebergs are a combination of pallet knives, soft and hard blues that merge in it all the white they can get. It is rough to tough, just like the cold of ice.
