ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This work was inspired by the changing relationship we have with nature as a result of global lockdowns. With outside space and landscapes becoming precious, this painting is my appreciation of nature, while being locked down in a 1 bedroom apartment in central London. The use of geometric shapes represent the constraint we've placed upon nature, and nature upon us, combined with chaotic movement and colour that portrays the uncertainty and power of natural forces. Acrylics were used to depict bold colours, which I associate with my idea of nature and the imprint it left on me.
