It symbolizes the psychological projection of emotions and interpretation, similar to Platonic shadows. Emotions are a subjective product. Sensations of physical objects, such as colors caused by electromagnetic waves and shapes, are external entities. They do not have emotions, only the receiver imposes their own emotions onto them. Mystification is the tendency to create deception or search for it in trivial situations, which may have its roots in personality disorders and psychoses, or may constitute a deliberate conspiracy for profit. Projection (from Latin "proicere" - "to throw ahead") is a defense mechanism consisting of attributing to others one's own unwanted feelings, views, behaviors, or mostly negative traits. The reason for this is the greater availability of these feelings, views, behaviors, and traits in the person who has them, and thus easier classification into a given category. An example of using the defense mechanism of projection could be: Person X is jealous of their friend because they usually have more luck in life and achieve more.
