About The Artwork

This painting is based on an experience of mine. After the corona epidemic started in 2020, like many countries in the world, Sri Lanka started to be closed for weeks and months. Meanwhile, the country was re-opened for a very limited number of days to come to the shops to take the goods needed for the homes. Being stuck at home due to the epidemic, I came to the store that day and walked to the adjacent beach before returning home with the goods. There was not a single footprint on the beach where thousands used to come and enjoy themselves. I saw the waves coming towards the shore with more pomp than usual. I saw people who challenged nature locked in houses and nature grew again as it wanted. That beach told me that no matter how advanced people are, they also belong to nature. Thus, the splendor of nature led to the painting of this great painting.
