About The Artwork

Self-portrait. Part of the photo project INMIGRANTES. This artistic work is inspired by the suffering that immigrants in the USA experience every day. There are millions of undocumented immigrants who cannot express their emotions freely for fear of deportation. They are silent, they hide, they are paralyzed. Using the technique of self-portrait I express the oppressed feelings of immigrants, like a voice that screams from the depths of silence.
