In this photo I show the branches with their colorful leaves of the cajá-manga tree, which can reach up to 15 meters in height. The fruit has a cylindrical shape, 6 to 10 cm long, 5 to 9 cm in diameter, and can weigh up to 380 g. It is a fruit with a smooth and thin skin, which has a bright yellow color, very aromatic and juicy pulp, with a bittersweet and acidic flavor when ripe, with an endocarp covered with irregular (soft) thorns. It is a fiber rich fruit. It is widely used in the preparation of juices, cocktails, liqueurs and ice creams. Cajamanga is present in almost the entire Brazilian territory, especially in the Northeast Region of Brazil as well as in other countries in Asia, America and the Caribbean, such as São Tomé and Príncipe.
