This photograph is part of a series of works that conveys the conflicting notions of absence and ethereal beauty with regards to death and remembrance. The works touch on the conflict of the Wellington Bolton Street Cemetery where from 1968 - 1971, around 3,700 burials were exhumed to make way for a new motorway. These burials now lay displaced and nameless in a large underground vault, their respective headstones now haphazardly dispersed above ground. The photographs were taken using medium format film in Holga and Banner toy cameras, which was then hand developed and digitally scanned. For sale is x1 signed 40 x 40cm Metallic print. Additional prints available.
