Fountain of Youth Print

I am a multi disciplinary artist/designer and l look at the world with visual curiosity, finding beauty in everything. Through my work I express what I cannot say in words. I am born and raised in Tampere, Finland, until I moved to the USA for 20 years with my American husband. I currently live in Finland. After a successful international career in product / textile / clothing design, I am focusing now in fine art. In addition to a design degree in Finland, I have had many courses and workshops throughout my life in traditional painting, photography and printmaking. I am passionate about Scandinavian folk art, architecture, thoughtful design, simplicity, repeating patterns, colors, combinations and wild and ever changing nature. My signature element is joy, and I love to play in the edge of balance / unbalance. I paint with acrylics with bold colors, and my paintings are influenced by my textile design career. My photographs are studies of different subjects in nature.
