About The Artwork

Any art piece, that I create is a long process of the unconscious. And then one day, the miracle happens and a piece is born. For Judith, it has been present in my imagination for a long time. But I didn't know, what questionnement she was representing to me. After long months of reflection, suddenly it became clear to me. And here is my questioning, that then became a recorded voice by the incredible actress Sophie Troise, who embodied Judith's voice at the Grand Palais exhibition : Salon Comparaisons 2022. "To the tiara of my hair responds the cadaverous, waxy, nocturnal complexion of the faun-gnome. This man, with virile, opaque, impressive, enigmatic power... Carried, dark, gray, stubborn... And I am alive! However, without this threat of who wants to blind, this enigma would shine for nothing. What path are we able to undertake so as not to get lost in the nets of amalgams, which are woven dangerously in the mysterious forests of desire...? How not to give in on the legitimacy of a feminist claim, without sinking into the denial of enjoyment and the mysterious injunctions of femininity? How to preserve, find again this fragile balance between women and men, which unites us in love...?" Nina Smidek & Bertrand Renaud

~ ...Because it is high time to sublime nature, remember the essence of the soul and invent some magic of being... ~ In all the different themes I work with (Floral motifs – Monet’s Water Lilies – Landscapes – Prague, homage to Jakub Schikaneder – Allegories – Tales - Nudes and Portraits), I try to evoke the poetry of solitary moments, miracles of nature, mysteries of life and reflections of the soul. Imagination sometimes urges me towards the evocation of the supernatural or even the fantastic. Silence allows introspection with its freezing of time. In silence, I realize visions I carry within me as long as it takes, until I am certain to know how to breathe life into them through the image. My efforts approach the work of a painter. The floral works appear as if the vegetation extends beyond its framework to penetrate into a dimension where the silences that rhythmize my pictorial music resound. My approach is one of slowness and isolation. I let childhood come back to life inside that perceives life through all the senses. When a work is born, it is as if a miracle had come from elsewhere. This elsewhere is, however, the most intimate part of oneself.
