Letting It All Go Print

For most of us, we work jobs we don’t love and aren’t truly passionate about just because we need to survive, we live in environments that don’t enable us the freedom to be and understand ourselves fundamentally, we manage* relationships where we don’t feel safe enough to express ourselves honestly and actually, we all wade through a system that encloses us into a mechanical pattern through dependence and authority to follow traditions and cultures and be told what to do when we think* there’s nowhere else to go because the weight of being psychologically dependent on ourselves in a society riddled with so much disorder is quite heavy for many of us. And because of all this, there is constant comparison, competitiveness, never ending conflict, violence, mechanical way of living, losing touch with nature, distracting ourselves from reality with pleasure which prevents us from discovering truth and so on. Most of us are aware of all that goes on but we don’t know how to break free. But you see, we never really look within ourselves to know what we actually are, not according to what we have been told we are or conditioned to become and this requires us letting go everything that we have known and accumulated psychologically in order to discover truth ourselves through attentive and choiceless awareness and a strong psychological revolution and through this discovery, we can find true freedom-- not the freedom to do whatever we like but rather to be unattached, independent of any authority and find a creative way to live amidst all the chaos and disorder. The hardest part for most of us is letting go off the known, not the fear of the unknown. We have always wanted to be free from time immemorial, but in order to be free, do we not have to know ourselves deeply first without running away from or suppressing what we discover that we are ?
