About The Artwork

From series of "Lights in Chicago" These images are made by innovative use of flash. No reflection, multiple exposure, software modification except normal adjustments were used. www.satoki.com Original print, edition(10). Note: price is now reduced from $2500 to $1500. The difference is "framed and matted" to "print-only" sending in tube. The feelings of people and their lives in the city shown through photographic media. My work is a surreal photographic narrative departure from his more photojournalistic work and is produced by the innovative use of off camera flash. Through my manipulations of light and shadow with off camera flash, subtle yet substantial moments were captured. The surreal abstraction of images allows for interaction of multidirectional story lines and overlapping of dialogues between photographer, subject, and viewer.
