Art Description

Photography: Color, Digital, Paper on Paper.

During the Second World War, there were extensive naval engagements between the US and Japanese navy in the Pacific Ocean. These engagements with the Japanese fleet resulted in the large scale deployment of massive navy power including carriers, battleships, cruisers and others. Eventually, the naval war turned out to be dominated by carriers because of the long distance power of their aircraft, but there were also battles between the capital ships on both sides as well as deployment of their long range guns. In the Atlantic Ocean, the battle was more about a conflict between submarines and convoys.
