Nevada Print - Limited Edition of 25

Part of the "Roadside Meditations" series and forthcoming fine art book published by Kehrer Verlag. Limited Edition (25) on fine art paper with archival pigment inks. Hand signed and numbered. For ten years now I've been traveling this beautiful country in a pick-up truck. Some trips can be as quick as a week, while others are as long as a month. Regardless, that time on the road is very important to me and my photography. So having that time interrupted can be quite frustrating. Over the years though, I've learned that these circumstances can lead to images and experiences that never would have happened otherwise. Last year, while on the east coast, I booked a last minute shoot in Nevada. Which gave me very little time to get from one place to the other. The drive was rushed, especially the last day, which involved more than 24 hours behind the wheel in order to make it to the shoot on time. Lots of opportunities were missed. Just a few hours out from the shoot, while driving through the desert in Nevada at sunrise, this beautiful scene presented itself. Despite having a narrow window until call time, I had to pull over and capture what was in my rearview. And I'm so glad I did. This images is one of my favorites from the Roadside Meditations series, and it never would have happened if I weren't in a rush getting to Point B. Sometimes you just have to take the good with the bad, and know if will lead to something great. The desert is a magical place that likes to put on a show. I always look forward to the next trip, hopefully without limitations. Open edition prints also available
