In 2016, I attended Tuungane, a bimonthly meeting between the village heads of the province of Lubero, North Kivu, DRC While traveling from one village to another, I was fascinated by the way in which the human figures merged with the environment. Both in the chaos of the cities and in the rural areas. So I instinctively started shooting random scenes I came across, often from the window of the moving car, trying to catch that magnificent beauty without breaking it. The result is a collection of images called North Kivu Streets. This photograph depicts a man looking at me while I visit a small raw coffee deposit. The presence of a “muzungu” in the village of Isale is an uncommon situation which raises people's curiosity. Printed on Hahnemuhle Bamboo 290 gsm paper.
