About The Artwork
Since relocating to NYC from Boston in 2008, I fantasized about what it would be like to photograph in Central Park immediately after a huge snow. My fantasy became a reality in February 2009 as I was seated at my work table on the 22nd floor over looking the Hudson River. I grabbed by gear and headed up to the Park, entered at 72nd St and made my way into the beautiful and unfamiliar landscape that had been designed by F L Olmstead. I wandered, without a sense of direction through the wonderland and the hush of a place usually teaming with activity. It was magical.
