About The Artwork

A image taken early Sunday morning of scaffolding erected to repair a industrial plants roof. Inspired by clean, documental, industrial, and architectural photographs of the past along with the relatively "new landscape" style of photography. I often find silence, beauty and silence while I record these pieces of man made functional art. A 12.0"x18.2" image printed on 14"x20" hahnemuhle german etching paper using archival inks on a inkjet printer.

Patrick Chuprina grew up in Toronto, Ontario and now resides outside the small village of Schomberg, 60 kilometers north of Toronto, with his wife, Italian Greyhounds, and cats. Patrick studied photography at Humber College in Toronto and the Ontario College of Art and has been a professional studio photographer for over 25 years. He uses this wealth of photographic knowledge, combined with his enthusiasm for excellent photography and lighting, to ensure spectacular visual images. Photography has been an integral part of his life almost for as long as he can remember. He has a passion for the details in his photographic subjects and finds beauty everywhere. Whether it is in the valves of an old and battered saxophone, industrial architecture, a piece of old machinery, leaves of a plant, or petal details in a white flower; his Fine Art images reflect his vision and appreciation for the art that surrounds us all.
