Just at the point when covid erupted, I spend a couple of weeks in Tel Aviv, one of my favorite cities. My first visit to Israel was in 2007, and I left enchanted by this country and anticipated return. It took me a while and when finally, I came back the country was nothing like in 2007. It become a concrete, urban jungle with never-stopping construction, and cranes blocking the pedestrian zones. I felt captured and claustrophobic. Only looking above, felt peaceful and made me feel detached from the reality of capitalism. A series of architectural photographs arise in this city a reflection of longing for quiescence and a return to the past and my vivid memories of the secret land.
