In the absence of the traditional vista of multiple trees, this image of early autumn becomes a mediation on individuality and non-conformity. Two leaves turn bright red in contrast to the overwhelming green around them. It is almost a Zen-like moment, a minimalist statement of making one's own statement in silence, by just being.
